    Pay any tax owed

If your return shows tax is owed, pay the amount at any NRA-designated bank. The NRA will issue an assessment after reviewing your return β€” this can take a few weeks. Keep copies of all receipts. Late filing incurs a Le 10,000 penalty per month.

Step 2: Collect the Individual Tax Form (ITF1)

β€œThe NRA iTax online portal (itax.nra.gov.sl) lets you file your return online and is faster than going in person. You still need to print and submit the acknowledgement page.”

Step 3: Submit your return at the NRA

β€œFile before the March 31 deadline even if you can't pay the tax yet β€” the late-filing penalty accumulates monthly and is separate from the interest on unpaid tax.”

β€œKeep a digital and a physical copy of your TIN certificate β€” every subsequent NRA submission asks for it. NRA can re-issue but it takes 2 weeks.”
